I am currently recruiting for a leading Syndicate who are seeking an Underwriting Assistant to join their team on a 3 Month contract basis. This position will involve processing new and existing business coming through from Underwriters using internal systems and more general Underwriting admin duties. My client is looking for someone with a good understanding of the insurance industry who is immediately available.

Key Responsibilities

  • New and renewal submission emails received from Underwriters.
  • Emails will be received and then the email and its attachments will be added to an internal filing system and indexed.
  • The email will then be forwarded to our technical team using a template response. Only internal emails will be expected.
  • New or Renewal policy to be created in Workview and submission documents to be filed/indexed in filing system.
  • Regular communication with underwriting team to ensure all information gathered is correct.
  • CAT (Catastrophic) modelling requests to be sent to CAT team via email when required.
  • Ad-hoc additional tasks may be required.
