HFG are currently partnering with a Lloyd's insurer in search of a highly analytical and commercially focused Strategic Finance Manager to join its Corporate Finance team. This is a high-impact role supporting senior leadership, including the CFO and Head of Corporate Finance, with financial planning, modelling, and strategic analysis across a complex, regulated environment.
The Role
You will play a key role in shaping financial strategy through advanced modelling, forecasting, and performance analysis. Working closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations, HR, and executive leadership, you will deliver insight that drives business decision-making and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, board reporting, and capital planning
- Produce rolling forecasts, KPI dashboards, and executive reporting packs
- Partner with senior leadership to support strategic planning and business performance analysis
- Deliver staff cost modelling, budgeting, and headcount analysis
- Support remuneration cycles, including scenario modelling for salary and bonus reviews
- Provide scenario analysis and modelling to support key strategic initiatives
- Analyse management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
- Collaborate with business development teams on performance tracking and new business analysis
- Support capital modelling and financial oversight of business units
- Contribute to improving finance systems, data flows, and reporting processes
About You
You are a commercially minded finance professional with strong modelling expertise and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. You will bring:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with 5+ years post-qualified experience
- Advanced financial modelling and Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience delivering insight to senior leadership and board-level stakeholders
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail with a proactive and resilient approach
