My client is seeking an experienced Corporate Accountant to join their Finance team on a fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to play a key role in corporate, statutory, tax, and regulatory reporting within a complex and regulated environment.
Reporting to the Corporate Financial Controller, the successful candidate will support group, statutory (including tax), and regulatory reporting, ensuring corporate accounting activities are completed accurately and to deadline. The role also offers exposure to senior stakeholders and involvement in continuous improvement initiatives across finance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Corporate and group reporting with clear financial commentary
- Preparation of UK and overseas statutory accounts and audit support
- Regulatory reporting and board/committee papers
- Balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and SOX support
- Support for UK and overseas corporate tax and compliance submissions
- Process improvement and ad hoc finance projects
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in a similar role within Group or Corporate reporting and understand consolidation processes
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Insurance experience is essential
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and advanced Excel skills
- A proactive, detail-focused approach
