A leading global insurer is looking for a proactive IBA / Credit Control Technician to join their high‑performing finance team. As an integral part of the Credit Control function, you will take ownership of a dedicated ledger, managing the end‑to‑end settlement process. You will be responsible for resolving technical queries, ensuring liquidity through diligent debt recovery, and maintaining the highest standards of client money protection.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactive Debt Recovery: Manage and chase outstanding debts from brokers and third parties to maintain healthy cash flow and minimize aged debt.
- Portfolio Management: Act as the primary finance contact for a specific portfolio, providing regular updates on account status and settlement risks.
- Technical Query Resolution: Investigate and resolve complex queries related to premiums, commissions, and taxes, ensuring a "right-first-time" approach to reconciliation.
- Cashbacks & Allocation: Accurately process cashbacks and ensure the timely and precise allocation of incoming funds against the ledger.
- Statement Management: Produce and reconcile monthly broker statements to ensure transparency and accuracy across all managed accounts.
Experience Required
- Sector Expertise: Proven experience within an IBA or Credit Control function (preferred) or relative experience in a similar administrative capacity.
- Attention to detail.
- Analytical Rigor: A proven ability to produce consistently accurate work and manage high-volume data under tight settlement deadlines.
- Communication Skills: A confident communicator who can be firm yet professional when chasing debt and collaborative when working with underwriters.
