I am currently partnered with a Syndicate business who are seeking a Senior Claims Adjuster to join their growing team. This role will be working adjusting complex US General Liability business including but not limited to; Bodily Injury, Rail, Construction, Fortune 1000 Casualty and more. They write business on a primary/excess basis, with a mix of lead/follow. My client is looking for someone with extensive US General Liability Claims Adjusting experience, competent with ECF and Lloyd's Claims Schemes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for General Liability (GL) claims, ensuring accurate and timely reserving, payments, and claims handling.
- Experience managing high-value bodily injury claims is highly desirable.
- Take ownership of decision-making on the largest, most complex, and high-exposure claims within the portfolio.
- Exercise senior-level authority over GL claims, including oversight of delegated reserving, payment, and settlement authority granted to junior team members and external claims partners.
- Serve as the subject matter expert and technical leader for GL claims, delivering guidance, coaching, and training to ensure teams remain current with industry developments, market trends, and best practices.
- Develop and implement best-in-class claims processes, procedures, and documentation, ensuring appropriate quality assurance and governance standards are maintained.
- Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with product, underwriting, and business stakeholders, providing claims insight that supports strategic and operational decision-making.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on claims trends, working closely with stakeholders and actuarial teams to support reserving decisions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Champion a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and outstanding service delivery across the claims function.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, governance frameworks, audit standards, and risk management procedures.
- Safeguard organisational licences, permissions, and regulatory obligations through effective adherence to compliance and control processes.
