  • About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-established Lloyd's insurance broker with a strong presence across the London Market and an established reputation within the US Property space.

The business is looking to strengthen its broking team with an experienced US Property Broker who can operate confidently within the Lloyd's market and contribute to the continued development of the portfolio.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced US Property Broker to join an established broking team.

You will be responsible for broking and placing US Property business into the Lloyd's and wider London Market, working closely with clients and underwriters to negotiate appropriate coverage, terms and pricing.

The role will provide exposure to a broad range of US Property risks, with responsibility across new business, renewals and ongoing client requirements.

You'll work closely with the market to develop and maintain strong underwriting relationships while delivering a high level of service to clients.

There will also be the opportunity to contribute to production and business development, helping to identify and develop new opportunities and grow the US Property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Broking and placing US Property risks into the Lloyd's and London Market.
  • Managing new business and renewal placements from initial submission through to completion.
  • Taking an active role in production and business development, identifying new opportunities and supporting the growth of the US Property portfolio.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and market underwriters.
  • Preparing and presenting submissions to Lloyd's and London Market underwriters.
  • Negotiating coverage, terms, conditions and pricing on behalf of clients.
  • Managing mid-term adjustments and ongoing client requirements.
  • Working closely with underwriters to secure appropriate solutions for US Property risks.
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of the US Property market and the wider London Market.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective clients to generate new business opportunities.

Required

5+ years' experience working as a broker in the Lloyd's market.

Strong experience within the US Property line of business.
