This role will be underwriting Property Facultative business from a range of industries – personal lines, power, engineering, UK commercial, real estate, global property, wholesale property, construction, oil and gas, renewables, etc. If the business comes in from London, they can write business anywhere in the world.
Jurisdictions are global, but currently, about 70% of the business is UK-based.
You will have authority to underwrite from the start, depending on your level.
The role will involve a mix of new and existing business, with strong relationships with clients, so you may be allocated some accounts.
Deal with all types of business – Syndicates, UK composite insurers, and smaller regional companies.
Hybrid working model – 3 days in the office.
Open to candidates with a broking background, but an underwriting background is preferred. If you have a broking background, ideally, you should have some form of underwriting experience in the past.
