We are looking for a Principal Infrastructure Operations Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the IT team supports the organisation to fulfil its statutory and corporate responsibilities. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for the HFEA’s cloud environments, infrastructure, networks, and cyber security functions, ensuring best practices are followed so the HFEA’s systems are secure and effective as possible.
You will have direct responsibility for a team of two (IT Service & Systems Manager and IT Support Engineer) and will be responsible for managing an ongoing roadmap for service and security improvements. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fascinating area of public health. This role would suit somebody who is proactive, can work effectively as part of a team and can balance competing priorities.
Strong, demonstrable hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure is essential as you’ll be leading the design, engineering and lifecycle of Azure and M365. You should be an excellent team leader and be able to build strong and supportive working relationships with senior leaders. You will have the chance to make a real and tangible difference to our work.
