We're HFBAC, and we're recruiting for a values-first MSP in Bristol that actually means it. This IT Managed Service Provider is tired of the usual grind where skilled engineers get stuck doing password resets and ticket drudgery. They believe fairness means respecting your time and skills. So they've structured this role to let engineers do actual engineering work.
The role: Second Line Engineer or MSP Engineer with a starting salary of £33k. You'll handle escalated support, lead projects (Cyber Essentials, Copilot implementations), and rotate through actual engineering work - not just tickets. Client site visits happen as and when needed, not twice weekly - maybe once a month. You're part of a small team with direct access to leadership.
What we're looking for:
- 2.5+ years MSP experience.
- You care about learning.
- You work well in a team.
- You want variety and growth, not burnout.
You'll need:
- Experience with HaloPSA, NinjaRMM, ConnectWise, or similar MSP ticketing platforms.
- Windows Server, M365, and core networking fundamentals.
- Cyber Essentials or security tooling experience (or willingness to learn).
- Comfort working in a service desk environment (booked schedules, documented processes).
Why this matters: We built HFBAC to place people into roles where the culture actually supports them. This one does. Small team, genuine values, clear progression, fairness across the board. No corporate fluff. No empty promises. Just good work, good people, good culture.
