Experienced in managing complex electromechanical or robotics engineering projects? Let's stay connected. Shadow Robot's R&D team works on some of the most technically demanding dexterous manipulation and robotics projects in the world. Our project needs evolve with our work, and when we need an Engineering Project Manager, we need someone who understands the engineering as well as the delivery. By registering your interest, you'll be first to know when a suitable opportunity arises.

What project management at Shadow Robot looks like:

  • Leading the delivery of complex electromechanical and robotics R&D projects from brief to completion
  • Acting as the technical point of contact for internal engineering teams, international partners, and research clients
  • Managing timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Working closely with software, mechanical, and electronics engineers in a fast-moving R&D environment

What we're looking for:

  • A background in mechanical, electromechanical, or robotics engineering - or industrial or product design - you need to understand the work, not just manage the process
  • Proven experience leading technical projects through full delivery cycles
  • Strong communication skills - you'll be the voice of the project with clients and partners
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and the pace of a small, innovative team

Contract information:

Future opportunities are likely to be fixed-term contracts, typically up to 6 months, and are likely to be determined as inside IR35, with PAYE tax and National Insurance contributions deducted at source.
