About The Role Solicitor – Property Insurance. Location: Birmingham. Hybrid/On‑site: Hybrid. Contract Type: Permanent. Our Property Insurance team works with many of the UK’s leading property insurers, handling a wide range of claims arising from fires, floods, escapes of water, storms, explosions, vehicle impacts and other causes of property damage. The team manages a mixture of high‑profile and high‑value matters and is continuing to grow as we win work from both existing and new clients. What You’ll Be Doing Managing a caseload of predominantly multi‑track property damage claims (claimant work) Handling coverage disputes and providing clear, commercially‑focused advice to clients. Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with clients and industry contacts. Taking ownership of aspects of key client relationships. Supervising, mentoring, and supporting junior team members. Leading or contributing to cross‑departmental projects. Delivering presentations, training, seminars and supporting wider business development initiatives. Sharing market insights and supporting the development of new services and thought leadership. Meeting financial and performance targets while maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct. Ensuring full compliance with SRA rules, data protection and all internal policies. What Do I Need? Qualified lawyer with 2 years PQE and strong experience in insurance and property damage. A strong academic background. Hardworking, proactive, and highly organised. Confident working independently and as part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to continue developing technical knowledge and expertise.
