Our Manchester‑based Property Insurance team is one of the fastest growing in the firm, acting for several of the UK’s leading property insurers. The team handles a wide range of high‑profile and high‑value claims, including fires, floods, escapes of water, storms, explosions, and vehicle impacts. With 8 Partners and around 70 fee earners, the team prides itself on being friendly, collaborative, and highly supportive of professional growth. You’ll be joining a dynamic group with ambitious plans and a strong track record of developing exceptional litigators.
What you’ll be doing:
- Reading and analysing key documents, including loss adjuster reports, contracts, and expert evidence
- Conducting investigations with policyholders, loss adjusters, counsel, and forensic experts
- Legal research, including case law, statutes, and commentary
- Producing clear, high‑quality written advice and correspondence
- Engaging confidently with clients and third parties via phone, video, face‑to‑face, and written communication
- Managing litigation in the County Court and, where appropriate, the High Court
- Ensuring effective file management, accurate time recording, and strong financial hygiene
What do I need?
We’re looking for a qualified lawyer (0–4 PQE) with litigation experience. Ideally, you will also have experience in one of the following areas: property damage, professional indemnity, construction disputes, or commercial litigation. Strong litigators from other backgrounds will also be considered.
