  • Responsible for assisting the Payroll Manager to ensure that all employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining data security, regulatory compliance and resolve general pay queries.
  • Working in a small team this is a fast-paced role tasked with ensuring our colleagues are paid correctly and on time every month, includes all benefit elements and pension payments too.
  • We work closely with the People Operations and wider finance team and provide a first class payroll service to all of our colleagues.
  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Data Management: Input and update employee information, including starters, leavers, salary changes, variable adjustments.
  • Payroll Processing: Verify timesheets, calculate overtime, process bonuses, and administer statutory payments (such as SSP, SMP, SPP).
  • Compliance & Reporting: Process payrolls, generate payroll reports, and assist with various reconciliations.
  • Employee Support: Act as the first point of contact for resolving payroll and pension queries with a high level of confidentiality.

What do I need?

  • Technical: Strong mathematical abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Soft

Skills: High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and total discretion when handling sensitive financial and personal data.

Able to work to strict deadlines and good communication skills for assisting colleagues with any queries they have.

  • Knowledge: Basic understanding of payroll compliance and HMRC legislation
