HF’s Construction & Procurement Team specialises in providing advice and representation on construction disputes and procurement law matters. We advise main contractors, sub-contractors, public bodies, and private sector clients on all aspects of construction and engineering contracts, claims, and disputes. Our team also provides public sector procurement services, assisting public bodies in procuring goods and services legally and cost-effectively, supporting suppliers in successful tendering, and challenging unlawful procurement processes. What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and manage our construction and procurement law team in London, fostering high performance.
- Oversee and conduct complex construction and procurement litigation, dispute resolution, and advisory work.
- Drive business development initiatives and expand the firm’s presence within the construction and procurement industry.
- Provide strategic input into firm-wide planning.
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality legal work aligned with client needs and industry best practice.
You Will Also Advise On
- Contentious and non-contentious construction and/or procurement law matters.
- Construction dispute management including mediation, conciliation, arbitration, adjudications, other ADRs, and court proceedings.
- Contract drafting, negotiation, and advice.
- Dispute avoidance and contract management.
- Claims analysis and negotiation.
What do I need?
- At least 10 years’ post-qualification experience with a strong background in construction and procurement law.
- Proven litigation experience, including managing complex disputes and representing clients in high-stakes matters.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to inspire, develop, and manage a legal team.
- Strong commercial acumen and a track record of building and maintaining robust client relationships.
- Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, forward-thinking approach with a commitment to excellence.
