- What You’ll Be Doing
- Assisting with a varied caseload of insurance-funded disputes and advisory matters for insurers, policyholders and commercial clients.
- Handling matters across a broad range of disputes, including landlord and tenant, contractual, consumer, property, construction and employment matters.
- Conducting policy coverage assessments and supporting legal expenses insurance advice.
- Drafting clear and concise pleadings, correspondence, reports and legal advice.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with insurer clients, brokers and policyholders.
- Managing client communications, providing updates and responding to queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Supporting senior lawyers on complex and higher-value matters.
- Assisting with the progression of litigated and pre-litigation files from inception through to resolution.
- Providing practical and commercially focused legal support under supervision.
What Do I Need?
- Previous litigation, legal, insurance or paralegal experience is desirable, but not essential.
- A degree, preferably in Law, is advantageous but not a strict requirement.
- Ability to work independently on routine matters while recognising when to seek guidance.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence working both autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the confidence to challenge information where appropriate.
- Experience or an interest in drafting pleadings, correspondence and legal advice.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload of litigated and pre-litigation matters appropriate to your level of experience.
- A proactive, enthusiastic and self-motivated approach to work.
- A willingness to learn, develop technical expertise and build a long-term career within legal services.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and achieve performance targets.
