We are looking for Support Workers to join our growing team in Ellesmere Port - Cheshire. Experience is not essential as we will provide you with support and training to become a confident Support Worker. Hft is a charity that supports adults with learning disabilities. What will you be doing?
You’ll be supporting individuals with Learning Difficulties between the ages of 20-60 in their own home. Supporting individuals can be in a busy house with lots of coming and going. You’ll be involved in supporting them in all activities of daily living as needed to help them live their lives how they want to. You will empower them to make decisions for themselves, achieve their own dreams, goals and aspirations. You will support them to ensure they are actively involved in their local community. Assisting them to maintain relationships with friends and family and support them to be as independent as possible by assisting them to learn life skills such as cooking and cleaning, managing finances, socialising and engaging in meaningful hobbies/activities. The people you will be supporting would like you to be patient, outgoing but not loud. They have also expressed that they would like someone who enjoys the outdoors, watching films, trains, and discos. This is your opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives. Full and part-time opportunities available. You will need to have flexibility to work shifts, including sleep-in nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
