We know that life can be complicated for everybody. But some of us are stopped from working towards our dreams. Many learning disabled people won’t be heard about the support they’d like. Some won’t get to decide what they do for work. Or how to spend or save their money. Many won\’t get to try out the new hobbies they’d love to try.

But you can change all that.

What we offer you

  • Where you’ll be working:Apsley, in Bristol
  • Your salary: £12.51(plus 12.07% in lieu of holiday entitlement).
  • Your working hours: We offer lots of flexibility to suit you and those you support. If you are interested in ‘Sleep ins’ we will pay you £44.62 per shift plus over 12% holiday pay.
  • Pay incentives: 10% overtime allowance, 20% Bank Holiday allowance, 50% for key dates over Christmas.
  • Training & development: Earn money while you get a fully funded Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care.

What you’ll be doing

Every day is different. This can range from supporting someone to plan their weekly shop, to going on an outdoor adventure. Providing everyday personal care to supporting someone to go to their favourite gig. Building someone’s confidence in using public transport to teaching money management skills. What’s important is supporting people to discover new interests, achieve new goals and maintain important relationships with their family and friends.

You’ll provide the highest possible standard of care and support for learning disabled adults. Listening to their wants and needs, enabling people to do daily tasks such as taking medication, cooking a meal or working with them to build their confidence and take on new adventures they are longing for. All this while working a variety of shifts to support your work and home life balance.

Our services in Bristol are busy and fun places to work at. Every day is different and you will support people to develop their skills and achieve their goals. The individuals we support are very busy, you would support them in activities and to access the community.

Public transport to our service here is limited so it would be great if you had a driving licence and access to a car, or are able to get help getting to and from the service.
