HF Pest & Bird Control is looking for an experienced Business Unit Leader to take responsibility for the effective delivery, development and growth of our operations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious operational leader to join an established and growing business, taking a hands-on role in people leadership, customer service, operational performance and organic growth.

The Role

Reporting to the senior leadership team, you'll be responsible for leading and developing the operational team, ensuring we deliver an exceptional service to our customers while continually improving efficiency and performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, motivating and developing a high-performing field-based team.
• Taking ownership of operational performance, ensuring services are delivered efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
• Managing performance against KPIs, SLAs, customer satisfaction and financial targets.
• Developing strong relationships with key customers and ensuring excellent levels of service and retention.
• Identifying opportunities to increase revenue and develop existing customer relationships.
• Supporting the recruitment, onboarding, training and development of new colleagues.
• Managing performance and having the confidence to address challenges when required.
• Improving operational processes, productivity and profitability.
• Supporting the implementation of new technology, systems and processes.
• Ensuring high standards of health & safety, compliance and environmental responsibility.
• Managing operational issues and escalations, ensuring problems are resolved quickly and effectively.
• Working closely with the wider leadership team to deliver the company's growth plans.
• Supporting the successful integration of new customers and future acquisitions as the business continues to grow.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Operations Manager, Service Delivery Manager, Regional Manager or Business Unit Leader who is ready to take the next step and make a real impact.

You'll ideally have:

• Proven experience leading field-based or mobile workforces.
• Strong people management and leadership experience.
• A track record of delivering against KPIs, SLAs and commercial targets.
• Experience improving operational efficiency and service delivery.
• A strong understanding of customer service and relationship management.
• Experience driving organic growth and identifying commercial opportunities.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• A proactive, hands-on approach to leadership.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with senior stakeholders.
• A full UK driving licence.

Experience within pest control, bird control, facilities management, environmental services, utilities, engineering or another field-service environment would be highly advantageous.
