Job Brief: As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance team. The role involves preparing income statements, balance sheets, and other financial documents, monitoring the company's financial performance, and working closely with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
What will you be doing:
- Preparing income statements, balance sheets and other financial documents
- Measuring the company's financial performance based on financial records
- Identifying problem areas and presenting recommendations to company management
- Communicating and interpreting financial data to non-financial managers
- Maintenance of the Sterling bank accounts (except flight and forex transactions)
- Coding the main bank transactions and posting all cash books that relate to the bank, PDQs and allocating guest payments to Tigerbay
- Processing till incomes and managing the cash banked weekly
- Entering utility accruals
- Posting Revenue
- Procure Wizard uploads - weekly
- Maintenance of domestic and non-domestic rates. Maintenance of House licences
- Overseeing costs of staff properties and liaising with HR at Payroll year end
- Managing the Accounts Receivable inbox
- Monthly Balance sheet reconciliations
- Liaison with point-of-sale, accounting software, and other system vendors, Select NRG, Ratiobox, bank and consultants
- Ensuring the integrity of the accounts in Access Financials and creation of new authorised accounts
- Running statistical reports and analysis when required
- Assisting in month and year end audits and financial reporting processes and posting monthly journals
- Reviewing UK relevant codes to ensure postings are correct and amending if necessary
- Analysing UK sales against expenses and investigating any anomalies
- House Capex request processing
- Ensuring all SOPs are followed to maintain appropriate controls and mitigate risk
- Filing and performing other ad hoc finance-related tasks or projects as necessary.
