COUNTRY HOUSE GARDENER
Location: The Peveril of the Peak, Thorpe, Dovedale, Ashbourne, Derbyshire, DE6 2AW
Contract: Part time – Permanent (20 hours per week)
Salary: £12.80 per hour
Reporting to: House Manager / Estate Manager

About the role:
Nestled within the breathtaking area of outstanding natural beauty, our Peveril of the Peak country house proudly boasts elegantly appointed bedrooms, providing a serene retreat for up to 75 guests embarking on guided or self-guided tour holidays. As the Country House Gardener, your role will be to maintain paths, fencing, hedges, trees, shrubs, flower beds, handing baskets, lawn areas and outdoor seating areas across our country house estate. You will take pride and responsibility in the overall presentation of the house grounds
What are we looking for?

- Recent gardening experience or experience in a similar role within a hospitality setting
- Knowledge of the planning and control of gardens, grass cutting, looking to future layouts and suitability of plants
- A ‘can do’ attitude and flexible approach
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety at work practices
