Volunteer Walk Leaders lead walking holidays across the UK and Tour Managers support guests on European holidays; all are central to the guest experience. Working closely with Product Managers and colleagues across the Leader and Product Operations Teams, the role matches leaders to holiday appointments and ensures the 600 volunteers are supported, empowered and equipped with the essential skills and information needed to carry out their roles effectively.

  • Manage the end-to-end onboarding, induction and sign-off of new leaders and support the appointment of Volunteer Field Advisors.
  • Monitor leader performance, identify development needs and coordinate appropriate support and training.
  • Provide leaders with the information, guidance and operational support needed to deliver high-quality holidays.
  • Manage leader communications, responding to enquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Investigate leader-related guest feedback and complaints, recommending and implementing appropriate actions.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete all administration associated with Volunteer Walk Leaders and Volunteer Tour Managers.
  • Foster leader engagement, recognise contributions and support volunteer retention and motivation

Quality, Compliance & Risk

  • Ensure appropriate processes and standards are in place across onboarding and training activity.
  • Maintain consistency and quality in delivery, addressing issues where required.
  • Support compliance with relevant policies, including safety, data protection and operational requirements.
  • Escalate risks or concerns in a timely and structured way.

Who we are looking for

  • Proactive, collaborative and solution-focused, with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Highly organised, detail-focused and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with volunteers and colleagues.
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience delivering operational and administrative activities in busy environments.
