We’re looking for someone who: Is skilled in persuasive writing about software and technology solutions Has the ability to translate subject matter expertise into a compelling, client-friendly narrative Has strategic thinking and a sales mindset supporting the production of winning submissions.
The role As bid writer, working with the Business Support function, your primary focus is supporting Heywood’s growth.
Working with colleagues across technical, consulting, product and sales to translate Heywood’s capabilities into clear, evidence-based written proposals.
Key responsibilities include: Read and analyse tender documents and identify compliance requirements Work with cross-discipline teams and SMEs to obtain input and convert it into well-written, crafted answers Write, edit, and quality check tender responses against question requirements, word counts, and evaluator criteria Maintain a repository of reusable bid content, case studies, and evidence Apply outcomes from evaluator feedback to improve future bids Produce and maintain bid support, corporate, and proposition collateral Manage multiple live bids simultaneously.
