Do you naturally adopt the customer perspective, using insight and evidence to identify pain points and uncover meaningful opportunities? Have you led product development across multiple products or multiple delivery teams? Do you have experience supporting, mentoring, and coaching other Product Owners, helping to raise product capability and consistency?
Your success as a Senior Product Owner will come from a deep understanding of customer needs, organisational strategy, and the priorities of key stakeholders. You will act as a strategic conduit between customers, the business, and delivery teams, translating vision and objectives into clear, prioritised outcomes. We are committed to Agile delivery approaches (including Scrum and Lean) to enable rapid, continuous delivery of value. As a Senior Product Owner, you will bring leadership and maturity to how these practices are applied, ensuring teams remain focused on outcomes rather than outputs.
You will join our Product and UX team as a Senior Product Owner, with responsibility for one or more development teams. Working closely with fellow Product Owners, UX, Engineering, and senior stakeholders, you will help shape product direction and drive meaningful improvements to the digital experiences of our customers and their members. You will provide product leadership within a growing but established product function, supporting the formation of new teams, contributing to evolving ways of working, and helping to set standards as priorities are defined during an expansion into a new international market.
Our work is underpinned by user-centred design principles, modern cloud-based platforms, and contemporary engineering practices, enabling us to continuously improve how people access and manage their pensions.
Heywood combines a passion for software with Agile methodologies to create modern software and data solutions and services for businesses, pension providers and third parties that help transform how their members and customers manage their lifelong financial journeys. Working for an expanding established market leader, you will have a real voice to influence our evolution. Continued learning and progression is ingrained in our daily life, encouraged through a variety of forums from e-learning subscriptions and a monthly down-tools day (“Hive Day”) and communities of practice for learning and experimentation. Our open culture encourages wide participation and innovation. We also reward our hard work through regular socials, organised by our people. Socials events include fiercely competitive bake-offs, Pride month office parties, sporting events, games nights and much more!
We are committed to a hybrid working model, combining remote and office-based working.
