Are you looking for a career in technology where you can make a real impact from day one?
Do you enjoy solving problems, working with people, and seeing your efforts help customers succeed?
As a Graduate Deployment Engineer, you'll play a key role in helping our customers receive new software features, improvements, and fixes safely and successfully. You'll learn how software moves from development into real‑world use, working alongside experienced colleagues who will support you every step of the way.
Are you...
- A natural problem solver: Do you enjoy understanding how things work and finding ways to improve them?
- Organised and dependable: Can you plan, prioritise, and manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail?
- A confident communicator: Are you comfortable working with colleagues, stakeholders, and customers to achieve a shared goal?
- Passionate about technology: Are you excited by the opportunity to build a career in software delivery, release management, or DevOps?
Here at Heywood, we build pension software that helps secure the financial future of millions of UK citizens. We're looking for curious, motivated people who want to learn, develop, and grow within a supportive and collaborative environment.
- Meaningful work: Help deliver software that makes a real difference to our customers and their members.
- Career development: Gain experience across software delivery, release management, customer engagement, and operational processes.
- Continuous learning: Learn from experienced professionals who are invested in your growth and success.
- Varied challenges: Every deployment is different, giving you the opportunity to build new skills and broaden your experience.
This entry‑level role is perfect for someone looking to launch their career in software delivery. Most importantly, we're looking for potential. Whether you're a recent graduate, have completed a technology‑related qualification, or have gained relevant experience through work or personal projects, we'd love to hear from you.

Deployment Engineers help ensure our customers receive the latest versions of our software safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption.
From day one, you'll become a valued member of the Release team, learning alongside experienced Deployment Engineers and contributing to the planning, coordination, and execution of software deployments. You'll gain exposure to multiple areas of the software delivery lifecycle and develop an understanding of how innovative products are delivered to customers.
You'll work closely with teams across the business, including Development, Testing, Professional Services, Support, and Product Management, as well as interacting directly with customers during deployment activities and early adopter programmes.
We value:
- Collaboration: Working effectively with teams across the business to deliver successful customer outcomes.
- Customer focus: Taking pride in providing a positive customer experience and ensuring deployments run smoothly.
- Learning: Building knowledge of our products, deployment processes, and software delivery practices.
- Continuous improvement: Looking for opportunities to improve the speed, quality, reliability, and efficiency of deployments.
Our culture encourages innovation and continuous improvement. As you develop in the role, you'll help us streamline deployment processes, reduce customer downtime, and enhance the overall software delivery experience.
This role provides an excellent foundation for future career opportunities within Heywood, including Release Management, Consultancy and Testing.
