Job Responsibilities:
- Understand and stay current with local U.S. food safety laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g. FDA, USDA, local health codes); conduct in-store or remote food safety audits based on internal brand standards.
- Analyze audit results to monitor hygiene and food safety practices across chain stores, and identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Supervise and evaluate third-party audit service providers to ensure the quality, consistency, and risk identification accuracy of their reports.
- Provide food safety calibration, training, and guidance to third-party auditors or designated stores to improve awareness and implementation of food safety protocols.
- Ensure standardization and consistency of audit practices and reporting across the region through regular alignment and calibration.
- Investigate and follow up on special or abnormal quality incidents, and provide insights for root cause analysis and resolution.
- Maintain close communication with the regional operations team to support the handling of audit appeals, abnormal reports, and any food safety concerns.
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of U.S. food safety practices and regulations; strong skills in communication, coordination, data analysis, and fast learning.
- High level of integrity, strong sense of responsibility, and self-motivation; detail-oriented and proactive.
- Prior experience or internship in the food industry, including food service, food manufacturing, or related areas is a plus.
- Educational background in food science, public health, microbiology, or related fields is preferred.
- Relevant food safety training or certifications (e.g. ServSafe, HACCP, PCQI) are preferred.
