You will join the Clydeport Engineering Department, based at the Port of Greenock, to safely and effectively complete planned and reactive maintenance work, ensuring all mechanical/maintenance equipment is compliant with current standards and legislation, with zero defects to maximise customer satisfaction.
You will use fault finding diagnostic equipment to ensure the reactive maintenance impact is minimised as well as resolving unplanned failures in a timely manner to meet reliability targets, proposing tactical solutions to ensure activities stay on schedule. You will expand your skills to become multi skilled in mechanical and electrical engineering to contribute to the ongoing success of the team.
What you'll bring
- You will have experience of maintaining heavy diesel plant and machinery in a heavy industrial environment.
- A strong understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics and be used to working effectively in a critical and busy environment.
- Excellent fault-finding skills and the ability to use fault finding diagnostic equipment.
- You must be willing to work at heights, understand work systems and accident reporting with a commitment to maintaining Health and Safety standards.
- You will be willing to multi-skill in mechanical and electrical engineering.
