Port Operative in Glasgow

As a Port Operative, you will be part of a team delivering safe and efficient port operations. You will operate plant, machinery and equipment, report defects, maintain high standards of housekeeping, and support a positive safety culture. You'll also have opportunities to develop your skills through training and multi-skilled working across a range of operational activities.

What you'll bring

• You may already be in an operational role or keen to move to your first role at this level.
• You will have proven experience in an industrial/port environment, with experience operating Loading Shovels, 360 Excavators, FLTs and Telehandlers desirable.
• You will be able to work safely in an operational environment, including working at height where required, and be willing to work flexibly to support operational demands.
• You will be committed to maintaining and contributing to Peel Health and Safety standards, policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of TASCC scheme compliance would be advantageous.
• You will possess good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• Previous experience operating port handling equipment such as FLTs, Loading Shovels and Mobile Harbour Cranes is desirable; however, full training will be provided for the right candidate.
