Your Role
Working with a team of Technicians, you will carry out reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance in a safe and efficient manner for all plant and equipment across Terminals One and Two including Cranes, CRMGs and Straddle Carriers. You will attend and fix machine breakdowns during operations in a safe and efficient manner, reporting parts and materials needs to the Engineering Shift Manager promptly. You will demonstrate commitment to multi-skilled activity where appropriate, completing required training as and when required. You will ensure the reliability, availability and safe performance of equipment by timely delivery of the Preventative Maintenance Plan, identifying spare parts needs and liaising with relevant internal teams to ensure stock availability. Driving and delivering a safe working culture, you will work to safe systems of work for all activities, ensuring SOPs are followed and Risk Assessments carried out and reviewed.
What you'll bring
- A strong engineering skillset, with an electrical bias.
- A firm grasp of modern maintenance strategies and working knowledge of controls systems and principles, including PLCs.
- Qualified to a minimum ONC (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
- An understanding of Electrical Circuit diagrams and willingness to multi-skill where deemed necessary.
- Experience of Motors and Variable Speed Controllers is necessary.
- A commitment to carrying out activities in the safest and most efficient manner.
- Previous experience on Container Handling equipment, particularly Container cranes, is advantageous but not essential.
- A full valid driving licence is required for this role.
