The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for graduates who demonstrate:
- A predicted First or 2:1 in an Engineering degree
- Excellent written and visual communication skills
- A genuine passion for continuous learning and technical excellence
- A commitment to sustainability and reducing embodied carbon through design
The Role
As a Structural Engineer at HTS, you will play a pivotal role in crafting structures that withstand environmental factors and human usage while ensuring enduring stability and security. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing existing structures for structural integrity and fitness for purpose
- Selecting appropriate materials — including concrete, steel, timber, and masonry — to meet design specifications
- Collaborating closely with architects and engineering professionals to design structures across a range of sectors
- Inspecting work on site and providing guidance to contractors throughout the construction process
- Contributing to our in‑house research team, HTS+, where you will help drive decision-making around reducing embodied energy and support wider industry decarbonisation efforts
