Job Purpose:
An experienced electrical/mechanical engineer to work alongside our existing field service team.
This a field-based role carrying out inspections, servicing, repairs and installation of overhead cranes and lifting equipment in line with LOLER regulations.
Key accountabilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical faults on crane and hoist systems
- Refurbishment and modernisation projects
- Installation, testing and certification of overhead cranes and hoists in compliance with LOLER
- Liaise with customers on work scope, safety procedures and method statements
- Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures
- Ensure documentation is kept up to date and completed accurately
- Personal presentation and communication standards are excellent
Skills and Requirements
- Experience with overhead cranes and hoists
- Clean current driving licence
- Ability to work at heights
- Willingness to work 24 hours call out rota
- Self-motivated, dependable, and a flexible approach
- Working knowledge of LOLER 98
- M.E.W.P.S licence
- CSR Card
- Experience with Demag products preferred but not essential
- Salary DOE has the potential with overtime to exceed Β£ 40k
- 37 hour week β Monday β Thursday 8.00am - 4.30pm and Friday 8.00am β 1.00pm
- Overtime after 4.30pm daily and Saturday paid at 1.5x basic, Sunday and bank holidays x2 basic (also DIL for bank holiday worked)
- Weekly callout allowance
- Callout payment + min of 4 hours overtime x 2 basic
- Away allowance paid
- Company van and mobile phone

- Quarterly and annual bonuses

After 6-months successful probationary period

The standard working week will be Monday to Thursday 8.00 am to 4.30 pm and Friday 8.00 am to 1.00 pm, however the successful candidate must have a flexible approach to these working hours as short notice and planned overtime are required and to be available to travel throughout Ireland, United Kingdom & Europe
