We are searching for a driven Business Development Manager for a forward-thinking tech-enabled transport and logistics scale-up. They deliver innovative tech solutions for transport, manufacturers and distributors across the UK and Europe. This Business Development Manager role will report to the Head of Sales in their Pontypool office in Wales.
We are looking for someone demonstrating a successful career history, a passion for driving growth within a business and a commitment and enthusiasm in delivering the highest customer and colleague service standards. The company is entering a new phase of growth and has a new SaaS product offering, and the Business Development Manager will engage clients in the offering, demo the platform to stakeholders, highlighting the key features and benefits to their business operations and positive outcomes to cost savings, time management and transport operations.
Responsibilities:
- Delivery of new business-based activity recorded within the CRM (HubSpot)
- Build and develop a pipeline of new clients through emails, calls, meetings, social media, hospitality and exhibitions
- Deliver quotes and proposals
- Presenting logistics solutions to prospective and developing clients
- Recording of all opportunities and results of quotes
Experience:
- SaaS and logistics sales experience at Enterprise level
- A track record in bringing on high value, new client logos
- CRM experience and internal data systems (ideally HubSpot)
- An understanding of UK and European transport and logistics
- IT literacy, IT skills including ability to use Excel (pivot), Word, Outlook and internal data systems
- Communication skills – both verbal and written (degree of email and telephone traffic)
- Organisation and prioritisation of tasks
- Must be enthusiastic and have a driven attitude combined with a strong work ethic
- Great attention to detail
