Heyfields Nursing Home is a well established Nursing Home based on the Barlaston/Tittensor border in Stoke-on-Trent with an excellent track record of providing outstanding care for our 56 residents. We are looking for a confident, experienced Cook, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a busy kitchen environment, to join our dedicated and highly motivated Kitchen Team, preparing breakfast and a delicious, excellently presented three course lunch for our residents.

The Role:

  • Preparing menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Manage workstation setup, preparation and sanitation.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff for efficient service.

This role is initially a position to cover Maternity leave, with a view to becoming permanent. The jobholder will be required to work 4 shifts per week on a rota basis which covers 7 days. Hours of work will be 7.00am to 3.30pm.

The Candidate:

  • We are looking for an experienced cook with proven cooking experience and a strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety protocols.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced and busy environment is essential.
  • The candidate must have a passion for cooking and a good work ethic.
  • Reliability and a positive attitude are a fundamental requirement of the role.
