Heyfields Nursing Home is a well established Nursing Home based on the Barlaston/Tittensor border in Stoke-on-Trent with an excellent track record of providing outstanding care for our 56 residents. We are looking for a confident, experienced Cook, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a busy kitchen environment, to join our dedicated and highly motivated Kitchen Team, preparing breakfast and a delicious, excellently presented three course lunch for our residents.
The Role:
- Preparing menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Manage workstation setup, preparation and sanitation.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff for efficient service.
- This role is initially a position to cover Maternity leave, with a view to becoming permanent.
- The jobholder will be required to work 4 shifts per week on a rota basis which covers 7 days.
- Hours of work will be 7.00am to 3.30pm.
The Candidate:
- We are looking for an experienced cook with proven cooking experience and a strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety protocols.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced and busy environment is essential.
- The candidate must have a passion for cooking and a good work ethic.
- Reliability and a positive attitude are a fundamental requirement of the role.
