At Heycroft Staffing Solutions, we specialise in providing high-quality temporary staff to children’s homes supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Disabilities (LD). We are currently looking for compassionate and dedicated Agency Support Workers to join our team for day and night shifts.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Providing care and support to children and young people in residential settings - Learning disabilities and/or EBD
  • Promoting/developing independence and life skills
  • Supporting communication and encouraging positive social interactions
  • Following care plans and supporting children to achieve their goals
  • Promoting positive activities and creating a safe, nurturing environment
  • Supporting young people through challenges with empathy and patience
  • Personal care (not required in all homes)
  • Maintaining a clean, safe home environment
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting concerns appropriately

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children (preferable 1 year) - training provided
  • Experience working with Learning Disabilities (preferable 1 year) - training provided
  • Willingness to work across a variety of homes and environments
  • Availability to commit to a minimum of 24 hours per week (with opportunity for full-time hours)
  • Full UK driving licence essential
  • Willingness to travel up to 1 hour from your home to placements

  • References and criminal self-declaration required
