Working Hours & Benefits

  • Monday–Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:30am – 1:30pm
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays

The Role

As a Production Manager, you will take full accountability for delivering production performance across your area, ensuring targets relating to output, quality, cost and delivery are consistently achieved. This is a pivotal leadership role within the operation, requiring a strong focus on continuous improvement, people development and cross-functional collaboration. You will play a key role in driving operational excellence, supporting new product introduction (NPI), and embedding a high-performance culture aligned to business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of production targets, ensuring alignment with customer schedules and quality standards
  • Drive achievement of KPIs across safety, quality, cost and delivery on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Analyse production data and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Supervisors to build a high-performing, flexible workforce
  • Establish and review manning requirements in line with production plans and training matrices
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring process effectiveness and compliance
  • Promote and embed Lean manufacturing principles, including TPM, 5S and waste reduction initiatives
  • Manage departmental budgets, including overtime control in line with business objectives
  • Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and IATF standards
  • Drive effective cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Maintenance, HR, Finance and Supply Chain
  • Manage employee relations matters, including performance, conduct and engagement
  • Ensure robust communication across teams to enhance engagement and operational performance

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a Production Manager or senior manufacturing leadership role
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) within a relevant discipline
  • Strong leadership capability with experience managing and developing teams
  • Demonstrated ability to drive performance within a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capability
  • Experience of Lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety and regulatory compliance within manufacturing
