As in-house recruiters for Lambson Innovate based in Castleford, West Yorkshire, we have some fantastic opportunities for hardworking and progressive individuals to join the production team working from their Castleford site as a Saw Operator. As an experienced Saw Operator, you will be expected to be proficient in setting, operating, and maintaining machinery.
Types of Machines expected to operate:
- Saws – Front loading and rear loading single beam saws
You will have an understanding of machine mechanics and the ability to troubleshoot.
Working hours: Days - Monday to Thursday 06:00am – 17:30pm (44 hours per week) or Nights - Monday to Thursday 18:00pm – 06:00am (46 hours per week)

- £32,329 - £35,944 (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Control: Inspecting the finished products for quality and adherence to specifications. Identifying and correcting any defects in the material or application process.
- Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on the machine, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn-out parts.
- Safety and Efficiency: Following safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Optimising production processes to minimize waste and improve efficiency.
- Loading boards and ensuring best optimisation pattern is being used. Ensuring maximum book height is being used to maximize output.
