DENSO is a $47.2 billion global mobility supplier developing advanced technology and components for nearly every vehicle on the road today. At DENSO Marston Ltd in Shipley, West Yorkshire, we design and manufacture high-performance heat exchange units and cooling modules for leading OEMs across the off-highway construction, agricultural and power generation sectors.
The Role: As a Design and Development Engineer, you will play a key role within the Development Department, supporting the design and development of next-generation heat exchangers and engine cooling systems. This is a varied and hands-on engineering role, involving design, testing, validation and project management activities. You will work cross-functionally with design, manufacturing and validation teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required technical standards.
Working Hours & Benefits:
- Monday-Thursday: 8.30am - 5.00pm
- Friday: 8.30am - 1.30pm

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of product development from concept through to mass production launch
- Deliver robust engineering designs in line with customer requirements
- Carry out numerical analysis including thermodynamic and fluid transfer calculations
- Conduct design evaluations using CAD, calculations, prototype and validation testing
- Support development solutions across design, validation and manufacturing engineering teams
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders
- Support engineering project management activities to ensure successful delivery
- Travel to customer and supplier sites in the UK and overseas when required
What We're Looking For:
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline with a strong mechanical engineering focus
- Minimum 2 years experience within a Design or Development Engineering role
- Experience managing engineering or product development projects
- Strong 3D/2D CAD design experience, ideally using CREO
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Strong engineering problem-solving and analytical skills
- Innovative mindset with a proactive approach to technical development
- Automotive or off-highway industry experience would be advantageous but is not essential
