At DENSO Marston Ltd in Shipley, West Yorkshire, we design and manufacture high-performance heat exchange units and cooling modules for leading OEMs across off-highway construction, agricultural and engine power markets.
Working Hours & Benefits
- Monday-Thursday: 8.30am - 5.00pm
- Friday: 8.30am - 1.30pm
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays

The Role
As a Cost Analyst, you will support the costing function by analysing and maintaining cost data across materials, labour, tooling and overheads. You will play a key role in supporting new product quotations, cost comparisons and value engineering initiatives within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in finance or cost engineering within a global organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with cost calculations and analysis
- Support preparation of cost breakdowns for new product quotations
- Analyse material, labour, tooling and overhead costs
- Maintain and update costing spreadsheets, databases and internal systems
- Compare estimated versus actual production costs and highlight variances
- Support value engineering and cost optimisation initiatives
- Provide target costing data to Product Development teams
- Liaise with Procurement to obtain supplier pricing and cost data
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations for stakeholders
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities focused on cost control and efficiency
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business (preferred)
- Understanding of costing, finance or data analysis principles
- Interest in manufacturing environments and product costing (e.g. BOMs, inventory)
- Strong Excel skills and ability to work with data sets
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and present insights
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
