Working Hours & Benefits

  • Monday-Thursday: 7:30am-4:00pm
  • Friday: 7:30am-12:30pm
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays

The Role

As a Production Planner, you will play a critical role within the Logistics function, ensuring the smooth and efficient planning of production activities within a Just-in-Time (JIT) environment. This is a hands-on, operational role where you will be responsible for developing production schedules, monitoring performance, and collaborating across departments to ensure customer demand is met. You will be instrumental in maintaining flow across fast-moving production lines while supporting continuous improvement in planning processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage short- and long-term production plans to meet operational targets
  • Plan and schedule fast-moving production lines across varying shift patterns
  • Monitor daily production performance and adjust plans accordingly
  • Collaborate with production, material planning, sales and wider stakeholders
  • Support the introduction of new products through effective cross-functional coordination
  • Participate in daily production meetings and provide planning insights
  • Manage finished goods stock levels in line with business policies
  • Analyse production data to inform decision-making and drive improvements

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a Production Planning role within a manufacturing environment (FMCG or Automotive preferred)
  • Strong understanding of MRP/MPS and ERP-based planning systems
  • Experience in capacity planning within fast-paced production environments
  • Advanced analytical capability with the ability to interpret production data and make informed decisions
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across multiple stakeholders
  • Highly organised with strong project management capability
  • Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to perform under pressure
  • IT proficient, particularly in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety principles and legislation
