The Role
We are looking for a Member Services Assistant for our Hull city centre branch. This is a full‑time position (35 hours per week) reporting to the Branch Co‑ordinator. The individual will be the visible face of HEY Credit Union for member‑customers, providing outstanding one‑to‑one support and transaction services.
Responsibilities
- Respond to enquiries and process transactions in person, by phone and via our online channels.
- Enrol new members and identify their needs.
- Assist with loan applications, issue approved loans and handle declined applications.
- Maintain accurate records, perform deposit/withdrawal balancing and ensure cash is accounted for.
- Operate electronic member communication systems (email, web, chat and telephony).
- Support branch development projects such as product data collation, identifying arrears and organising promotional events.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers, support new staff and participate in training.
- Other related duties as required.

- Proven customer service experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solution‑focused, results‑oriented and collaborative.
- Computer literacy with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proactive enthusiasm for learning.
- Strong desire and ability to learn new concepts.
- Experience within a financial services environment is an advantage, but not essential.
