The Role

As a Driver / Waste Operative, you’ll play a key role in keeping our day-to-day operations running smoothly. You’ll be out on the road completing waste collections, clearances, and operational tasks across domestic and commercial properties, helping ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to the standards our customers expect.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Carrying out multi-drop waste collections and clearance works across domestic and commercial sites
  • Driving company vehicles up to 3.5t safely and responsibly
  • Loading, unloading, lifting, and moving waste materials safely and efficiently
  • Supporting site clearances, basic cleaning, gardening, labouring duties, and general operational tasks
  • Completing waste documentation, vehicle checks, and operational records accurately
  • Using mobile apps and systems to update job progress and communicate with the operations team
  • Supporting waste sorting and housekeeping duties within the yard
  • Representing Hey Clear professionally when working on customer sites and in the community

About You

You’ll likely have experience in waste management, labouring, removals, logistics, construction, facilities management, or another hands‑on operational environment. You’ll be reliable, hardworking, and comfortable working outdoors in a physically demanding role. You take pride in doing a good job, work well as part of a team, and understand the importance of turning up, working safely, and treating customers and sites respectfully. You’ll also need to be comfortable using mobile apps and completing basic paperwork accurately. A full UK driving licence is required, and applicants must be insurable under the company’s motor insurance policy.
