Hexwired Recruitment are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a growing consultancy working across consumer products, transport, and safety-critical medical device projects. This is a senior technical role within multi-disciplinary teams, collaborating with electronics, software, and design specialists to deliver high-quality, market-ready products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design work across full product development lifecycle (concept → production)
- Deliver innovative solutions to complex engineering problems
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (electronics, software, industrial design)
- Support and review junior engineers’ work
- Manage project delivery including timelines, budgets, and client communication
- Present technical solutions to clients and stakeholders
- Ensure manufacturability and design quality across projects
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (1st or 2:1) or equivalent technical qualification
- Strong experience in product design / mechanical development environment
- Skilled in CAE tools and computational engineering methods
- Experience with a range of manufacturing processes (including injection moulding and prototyping)
- Strong track record of delivering complex engineering projects
- Experience working with clients and managing project expectations
- Good communication and leadership capability
- Eligible to work in the UK and able to work on-site in Warwick
Desirable Experience
- Low-volume rapid prototyping

- Medical, transport, or consumer product sectors
