Hexwired Recruitment is working with a leading engineering and technology business looking to hire a Software Engineering Manager. Leading a team of experienced software engineers developing, optimising, and testing real-time software solutions across a range of architectures.
Responsibilities include:
- Software Engineering Leadership
- Leading the development of software engineering methodologies, processes, and design practices.
- Driving end-to-end software design throughout the full product lifecycle.
- Working within multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver key project milestones.
- Supporting the integration of complex software solutions across heterogeneous platforms.
- Collaborating with customers and stakeholders on requirements, project progress, and issue resolution.
- People Management
- Supporting team leaders in building high-performing engineering teams, encouraging professional development, career growth, and knowledge sharing.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience leading high-performing software engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of full lifecycle embedded software development for high-performance applications.
- Experience developing and testing embedded or performance-critical software systems.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable plans.
- Experience with CI/CD workflows, development planning, and project tracking tools.
- Relevant degree or equivalent commercial industry experience.
- Exposure to communications systems, signal processing, or other complex technical domains would be beneficial.
