We are recruiting for an experienced electrical inspector/test engineer to join our electrical service company. This is a permanent role so please only apply if you are looking for a long term position.
The services to be carried out by the successful individual are:
- Domestic EICR
- Commercial EICR
- Emergency Lighting Testing
This is an inspection and testing role and remedial works are carried out by our other remedial engineers. Although on occasion some very minor remedial works may be required to be carried out.
Please only apply if you have significant inspection and testing experience and are confident working in both low and high-end domestic properties as well as commercial premises; offices, warehouses, retail.
The successful candidate should have the following requisites:
- At least 15 years of experience
- Competent with 3-phase testing
- Be able to specify/detail remedial works
- Excellent record keeping
- Prompt issue of certification and reports
- Confident communicating with homeowners/landlords and also businesses
- Happy to spend time driving in and around London
- Comfortable using electronic software and reporting apps (training provided)
- Excellent knowledge of the regulations
- Experienced at working alone
The following qualifications are required as a minimum:
- BS7671: 18th edition amendment 2
- City and Guilds 2391: Inspection and Testing
- Completed apprenticeship or equivalent
- Non-UK equivalent qualification are accepted provided they are approved by the relevant UK bodies
Must be willing to represent our company in an excellent professional manner at all times. A driving license and own vehicle is also required.
Minimum working days are Monday-Friday for two weeks per month and Tuesday-Saturday for two weeks per month. This is a permanent position. No agencies please.
