This is a fully on-site role, and candidates for this role are required to hold an active DV security clearance.

The platform engineer will support our data team by developing and maintaining the data stack in a Linux environment, ensuring platforms and applications meet secure by design requirements. The ideal candidate will have worked in a security cleared environment previously and will work with the wider team on advising the design and delivery of wider systems.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Securely design, develop and maintain infrastructure, applications and devices following industry best practices
  • Deployment and uptime of cloud services
  • Updating security, software, dependencies, libraries etc
  • Set up and maintain Spark Clusters on current platforms, migrating to new platforms
  • Manage user accounts and permissions across IdP
  • Ensure secure by design assurance across the platform

What we are looking for:

  • Experience using common serverless AWS cloud services
  • Experience building and maintaining bespoke Docker containers
  • Experience with monitoring tools for tracking system performance
  • Experience with air-gapped networks and Linux administration
  • Knowledge of security, encryption, and compliance standards for AS networks
  • Strong experience in CLI tools and writing scripts in Python and/or Bash to automate routine tasks and manage deployments
