Hexeal is a fast-growing FMCG e-commerce business shipping approximately 25,000 orders per week across the UK. We are looking for an organised, driven and hands-on team leader to support the warehouse & production operation.
This is a varied role combining hands-on leadership, quality control, continuous improvement and administrative support. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our warehouse and production departments operate safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Job Overview
What you’ll do:
- Coordinate inbound and outbound, adhering to tight deadlines
- Liaise with the supervisor and Assistant Manager to ensure issues are dealt with promptly
- Oversee the quality assurance of goods before they go out
- Support with training and day-to-day supervision of a team of up to 40 warehouse operatives
- Lead and motivate the warehouse team to achieve daily operational targets
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and health & safety legislation
- Provide weekend support for label printing – You will be expected to work one in three Saturdays
- Allocate work and monitor team performance
Required:
- Be able to work effectively under pressure while always maintaining a professional approach
- 2+ years’ experience in a warehouse or logistics team leader role
- Good level of physical fitness – this is a physically demanding role involving heavy lifting
- Flexibility around shift timings
- Excellent people and organisational skills, supported by strong attention to detail
- Must be PC literate
Desirable:
- First aid
- Knowledge of COSHH
- Counterbalance Forklift Licence/Experience
Working hours: Monday – Friday 8:00-17:00, one in three Saturdays 7:30 – 14:00. Flexibility will be required around working hours.
Salary: £32,000
