Hexcel is currently seeking a Shift Engineer for our Duxford, UK location. The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

  • Support project, process and maintenance activities that will lead to improved safety and production efficiencies.
  • Liaise with relevant staff members to ensure successful implementation and sustainability of improvements.
  • Support site breakdowns as required to return plant into production in a timely manner.
  • Understanding machine electrical drawings, user manuals and machine schematics.
  • Ability to diagnose PLC/drive problems.
  • Meet the needs of safety, quality, and productivity in line with National, Local and Corporate requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Level 3 NVQ diploma/HNC in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Maintenance) or equivalent along with BS7671 18th Edition.
  • Recognised Apprenticeship.
  • Basic MS Office experience.
  • 5 years or more experience as an electrical biased maintenance engineer in a manufacturing/process environment.
  • PLC and Drive experience desirable.
  • ATEX/DSEAR & COMPEX trained desirable.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
  • IOSH qualification desirable.
  • Must be driven, enthusiastic, autonomous, and self-motivated.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the country where the position is based.
