Hexcel is currently seeking a Senior Quality Engineer for our Duxford, UK location.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
- Support internal, external, and customer audits, ensuring compliance with QMS, regulatory, and customer requirements.
- Manage and support non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective action implementation.
- Provide specification interpretation and disposition decisions.
- Support manufacturing teams with quality-related guidance and issue resolution.
- Apply appropriate quality tools and methodologies to address issues effectively.
- Produce and maintain PPAP documentation as required.
- Manage customer quality communications in a timely and professional manner.
- Lead root cause investigations and facilitate product and process issue resolution.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on quality KPIs to drive performance improvements.
- Promote a quality-focused culture and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience working in a Quality Engineering or similar quality-focused role within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of aerospace and/or defence industry requirements, including standards such as AS9100 and NADCAP.
- Experience of customer quality management, specification review, contract requirements, and quality issue resolution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
- Proven experience using root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
