Hexcel is currently seeking a Product Manager for our Duxford, UK location.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
- Manage the full Duxford Matrix product range—including adhesives, CMF, and lacquers—to meet short, medium, and long‑term business objectives.
- Drive product line evolution by overseeing pricing, margin performance, cost evaluation, and competitive differentiation.
- Coordinate and prioritise new product introductions, including manufacturing trials and qualification justifications.
- Provide technical and promotional product literature and serve as a key technical expert during customer meetings and trade shows.
- Support Sales with pricing strategies, contribute to Long Term Agreements (LTAs), and help identify new market opportunities.
- Build strong customer relationships and work with Sales to maximise sales potential and execute customer strategies.
- Act as the focal point within Operations for supply chain issues, prioritisation, capacity alignment, and monthly SIOP inputs.
- Lead market and business planning activities such as demand validation, LE/PLAN challenges, STRAP contributions, and competitor/market trend analysis.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally across global Hexcel teams to ensure smooth product qualification, process changes, and communication of customer impacts.
- Contribute regularly to reporting activities, including the monthly Sales & Marketing report and global product management meetings.
Qualifications:
- University degree or relevant industry experience in a technical or sales/marketing discipline.
- Knowledge of product management within composite materials.
- Understanding of the aerospace market, including qualifications, programs, and specifications.
- Basic finance knowledge, including cost structures and margin analysis.
- Experience managing external business relationships with customers or partners.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and commercial information clearly.
- Strong influencing and leadership abilities, with a proactive and dynamic approach.
- Ability to work effectively cross‑functionally within a matrix organisation.
- Commercial acumen and strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and multitasking skills, plus willingness to travel internationally.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the country where the position is based.
