Hexcel is currently seeking a Core Maintenance Leader for our Duxford, UK location. The selected individual will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Arrange and oversee planned maintenance planning, preparation, execution, and hand-back to production operations.
- Control costs of annual maintenance spend.
- Review daily status of owned assets and proactively prepare plans to prevent unplanned outages.
- Ensure asset performance aligns with safety, quality, and productivity expectations.
- Propose capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage spare part requirements, repairable items, and ensure stock levels match asset needs.
- Collaborate with production and planning teams to minimize disruptions and maximize asset capacity.
- Maintain quality of maintenance services to meet business needs.
- Ensure asset documentation is updated and accessible for maintenance and facilities teams.
- Lead root cause analysis into failures, following up on actions to completion and closure.
Qualifications include:
- Recognized electrical engineering apprenticeship, degree, or equivalent; minimum BTEC HNC in Electrical Engineering.
- 18th Edition electrical qualification.
- DSEAR/ATEX awareness.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and highly organized.
- Familiarity with multiple engineering disciplines.
- Proficient in computer use and experience with CMMS systems.
- Strong understanding of UK manufacturing legislation.
Desirable: COMPEX EX 1-4 (gas/vapours) and 5-6 (dust), CAD qualification, IOSH managing safely.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.
